Black Sluice Internal Drainage Board will be attending the Lincolnshire Flooding Resilience & Mental Wellbeing Roadshow in Boston, and we’d love to see you there.
This free community event is designed to help residents prepare for, respond to, and recover from flooding, while also recognising the importance of mental wellbeing before, during and after flood events.
Taking place on Tuesday 28 April, from 2:00pm to 7:00pm, the roadshow will be held at Boston College, Mayflower, Rowley Road, Boston, PE21 6JE. The event is open to everyone and welcomes individuals, families and community groups.
On the day, visitors will be able to:
- Learn how to improve personal and community flood preparedness and resilience
- Find out more about local flood response services and available mental health support
- Get practical advice on creating a personal flood action plan
- Explore emotional support strategies to help cope with the impacts of flooding
The event is supported by Shine Lincolnshire, Project Groundwater, Lincolnshire County Council and partner organisations working together to strengthen flood resilience across Greater Lincolnshire.
Members of the Black Sluice IDB team will be on hand, offering information about our role in managing water levels and supporting communities within the Black Sluice catchment. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, find out more about local flood risk management, and speak directly to those involved.
All are welcome, and we look forward to meeting residents from across the area.
Will we see you there?
