Reporting to the Maintenance Director
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities:-
Technical Surveying
-
Routine setting out of site levels using GPS Surveying equipment
-
Routine surveying of Board’s drains as required
-
Manage & Undertake Site Surveys
-
Produce basic CAD drawings
-
Drone surveying
-
Calibration of instruments
- Development of electronic ways of working
General GIS roles:
- Maintenance of the Board’s GIS and database system
- Development of map sets GIS to support operations works
- Management and maintenance of operations team software apps
- Provide current information regarding locations of utility apparatus to all the Board’s Land Drainage Operatives
- Notify utility companies if working in the vicinity of any utilities
- Providing data to comply with notifiable environmental works
Environmental
- Providing data to comply with notifiable environmental works
- Conduct walk over surveys to determine the presence of priority and/or problem species, report on outcomes
- Contribute to the development of key environmental and biodiversity policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain strong relationships through excellent interpersonal skills with land owners, Environment agency, Greater Lincolnshire Partnership, Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, Lincolnshire ADA Environment Committee.
General
- Knowledge/understanding of MS Access/databases
- Attend and support meetings as required
- CPD supported by the Board
